What is negotiation(in freelancing):

Negotiation in freelancing is part of the Sales Communication Skill. The sales Communication skill teaches you how to make the other person accept your terms in our case the price.

Why learn the art of negotiation?

Because it will help you achieve what you want from an agreement, deal, or debate. A good conversation is not only about understanding the other person’s point of view but also delivering your point of view and agreeing on terms that will not only benefit the other person but also you.

While making a deal, most of the time freelancers with little to no knowledge of sales communication skills and negotiation end up doing a deal in the other person’s favor. Which is good for them and bad for you.

It is not wise or good to do that when you have to feed yourself. Some people think this shows a good heart. Profiting others is good but profiting not only others but yourself is necessary when you have to feed yourself. There is no bad in that. Be selfish so you can be generous afterward.

How to learn the art of negotiation:
